  • Follow established procedures and processes consistently, including documentation and quality standards.
  • Learn and apply new procedures, systems, and documentation requirements as needed.
  • Support larger projects in the shop when dozens of seats require component replacement or coordinated repair efforts.
  • Occasionally work several days in a row on-site at aircraft factories to help resolve seat-related issues.
  • Collaborate closely with a technician during training and mentoring, and progress toward serving as one of the two Field Service Mechanics at the site.
  • Maintain a presentable appearance and customer service mindset when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work area, including proper use and care of tools and equipment.

  • Presentable, customer-service-oriented mindset when working with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and component maintenance manuals accurately.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a small team in a technical repair environment.
  • Eligibility as a US Person in accordance with customer requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Why Work Here? You join an extremely stable organization that is smartly run and focused on long-term success, with no history of layoffs or reductions and a guarantee of full-time hours regardless of seat volume. You work day shift with some flexibility in start and end times, receive thorough training, and become part of a small, close-knit team with minimal corporate interference. The benefits package is designed to support long-term financial security, including a company-paid 401(k) contribution that can reach 310% of your compensation based on yearly performance.

Over time, by using the retirement plan and benefits wisely, you can significantly increase your savings and build a strong foundation for retirement and wealth-building. Work EnvironmentThis role is part of a very small, close-knit team of field service mechanics providing in-house and on-site technical support for commercial aircraft pilot seats. The primary workplace is a large facility in Kent with a loading dock, open storage area for seats, parts inventory, and multiple workstations equipped with tools for removal and replacement of seat components.

Most work occurs in this facility, but you also travel by company van to local aircraft factories for installs, removals, and troubleshooting. The workload varies widely: at times you may have only a few seats to inspect and repair, while other periods involve major projects where dozens of seats require component replacement. Occasionally, you may spend several consecutive days on-site at factories to help resolve complex issues, although this is uncommon. The standard schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with some flexibility for alternatives such as 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and rare on-call weekend requirements.

You work a consistent 40 hours per week and do not lose hours due to workload fluctuations. Training and mentoring are provided by a technician, and the environment emphasizes practical, hands-on work with a focus on reliability, safety, and teamwork. Dress is practical and appropriate for a technical shop setting, with a presentable appearance expected for customer interactions.
