Warehouse Assistant - Amazon Facility

Job Description

We are seeking motivated Warehouse Assistants to support daily operations within a busy Amazon fulfillment and distribution center. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth movement of products throughout the facility by assisting with material flow, monitoring conveyor operations, and addressing package backups as they occur. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and are comfortable performing physical work while following established safety procedures. Available Schedules:

• Front Half: Sunday-Wednesday
• Back Half: Wednesday-Saturday
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining efficient package flow throughout the warehouse.
• Respond to conveyor stoppages and safely remove product blockages using approved tools.
• Support warehouse operations by monitoring equipment and reporting issues as needed.
• Work around automated conveyor and material handling systems while following all safety guidelines.
• Utilize basic hand tools for routine operational tasks.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Lift, move, and transport materials weighing up to 49 pounds.
• Perform frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and climbing throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with team members to meet productivity and operational goals.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, logistics, construction, or a similar industrial environment.
• Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds unassisted.
• Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders when necessary.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and overtime when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fulfillment, distribution, or shipping environments.
• Familiarity with conveyor systems or automated warehouse equipment.
• Experience using basic hand tools.
• Previous experience with Amazon or large-scale warehouse operations is a plus.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment

This position is based inside an Amazon fulfillment center and involves working around active warehouse operations, conveyor systems, and automated equipment. Team members should expect a fast-paced environment that requires extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, MA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
