  • Monitor manufacturing performance through Key Performance Indicators and other operating measures, taking appropriate action to address performance gaps and remove obstacles.
  • Support development and management of operating and capital budgets, continuous improvement programs, capital projects, and business cases for plant investments.
  • Build an engaged, collaborative manufacturing culture with open communication, strong employee relations, accountability, and continuous improvement at every level.

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience.
  • At least 3–4 years of production experience in a food-processing manufacturing environment in a role with significant responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation, cost, and production performance.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, employee development, performance management, communication, recognition, and problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of food-manufacturing requirements and practices, including HACCP, sanitation, statistical process control (SPC), and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement, waste-reduction, cost-saving, and operational-efficiency opportunities.
  • Ability to interpret operational performance indicators, identify root causes, and translate findings into effective corrective and improvement actions.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to build productive relationships across operations, Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, and other functions.
  • Ability to provide decisive leadership in a manufacturing environment, including exercising appropriate authority to stop production when employee, product, equipment, food safety, or quality conditions require intervention.
  • Commitment to continued professional development in manufacturing leadership, food processing, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
