Closing date: Friday 12th June 2026 by 5:00pm Applications are invited for two Research Assistants (1 post – 17.5 hours per week, 1 post – 14 hours per week) to work within the School of Psychology at Liverpool Hope University on a project funded by the Nuffield Foundation evaluating the Love to Read programme. This is a research-informed intervention designed to increase reading motivation and engagement among primary school children aged 8–11. The project is a large-scale randomised controlled trial involving a minimum of 20 primary schools across London and Liverpool. Pupils will be randomly allocated to either receive the intervention or act as a control group over a 12-week period. The evaluation will examine whether, in what contexts, and for whom the Love to Read programme is effective.
