We are looking for a dynamic and motivated PFI Operations & Performance Manager to join our PFI team and play a vital role in supporting safe, effective, and high-performing healthcare environments across our Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to become the Trusts lead specialist for PFI Operations and Performance, helping ensure our facilities services consistently meet the highest standards for patients, staff, and visitors.

Main duties of the job

Act as the Trusts prinicipal specialist for PFI Operations and Performance, ensuring effective oversight of PFI Hard Facilities Management services.Monitor and ensure compliance with the Project Agreement, statutory legislation, NHS guidance, British Standards, HTMs, HBNs, HGNs, and recognised industry best practice.Provide assurance that PFI service delivery supports safe, effective, and compliant clinical environments across Trust facilities.Coordinate and oversee performance monitoring activities and audits, working closely with PFI Monitoring Officers to ensure robust governance and service quality.Review contractor performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), service standards, and contractual obligations.Identify service risks, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement, supporting the implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.Support negotiations and contract management processes to ensure best value for money, service efficiency, and quality outcomes for the Trust.Assist in the development and implementation of the Trusts PFI operational strategy to support patient care, operational resilience, and environmental objectives.Lead, coordinate, and contribute to specialist working groups, project meetings, and assurance forums relating to PFI operational performance and compliance.Prepare reports, audit findings, service performance information, and recommendations for senior management and governance.

Qualifications & Knowledge

Degree or equivalent experience in Estates/FM. Significant senior Estates or Facilities Management experience. Strong knowledge of NHS Hard FM, HTMs, HBNs, compliance, and audit processes. Experience using Estates/FM information systems. Experience & Skills Experience working within large NHS, public sector, or complex organisations. Proven ability to manage performance, compliance, and service assurance. Strong communication, influencing, and analytical skills. Able to explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences. Confident using Microsoft Office and FM systems. Experience leading meetings, projects, or working groups. Personal Attributes Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable. Strong team player with a proactive approach. Able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines. Professional, confident, and committed to high standards. Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct.
