Job summary
Job Description We are looking for a Preceptorship Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) / Preceptorship Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) with a current/upcoming UK Pin number and a passion for delivering outstanding care.
You will be working 42 hours per week, across days, nights & weekends making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Kenney House.
Cygnet Kenney House is our hospital for women, located in Oldham. The services provide a safe and secure care pathway for women with mental health need and are now open.
We have collaborated with the NHS to develop services to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home.
There are three wards at Cygnet Kenney House; Billington Ward, a 12 bed specialist Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Baldock Ward, a 16 bed Acute service and Harben Ward, a 16 bed mental health rehabilitation and recovery service.
The PICU and Acute environments offer rapid access to care, supporting women to move quickly and safely through to the most appropriate and least restrictive setting. The mental health rehabilitation and recovery ward (level 2) supports individuals moving on from the Acute ward, as well as external referrals from other services such as secure, CAMHS, and more.
Main duties of the job
Your Day-to-Day:
Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observationsWork closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve qualityAttend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursingUnder NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.Administer prescribed medicines within Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines
