Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist is accountable for the operation of the respiratory service and provides effective, safe and accurate treatment of patients with respiratory and cardiac problems. The Respiratory Therapist reports to the Manager, Clinical Services ICU/PACU. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Respiratory Therapy diploma (RT)Other Education and Training- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)Competencies- Basic - Teaching skills- Advanced - Writing skills- Intermediate - Interpersonal skills- Advanced - Verbal communication skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work independently- Ability to utilize specific program equipment- Ability to be self motivatedOther Information- For more information on the city of Prince Albert please visit https://www.citypa.ca- Registered/eligible with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapist (CSRT)- May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives- No guaranteed hours of work.
