About this role
Purposeful Change Psychotherapy is seeking a Registered Psychotherapist with training in play therapy and clinical experience providing psychotherapy to children. This is an in-person role at our King Cityoffice. Applicants must be registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
We?re a group psychotherapy practice serving children, adults, couples, and families. Our approach is attachment-informed and tailored to each client. We?re looking for a clinician who can engage children through play, explain the therapeutic process to caregivers, and help families understand how to support their child between sessions.

What you?ll do
- Provide individual child psychotherapy using developmentally appropriate play therapy approaches.
- Assess presenting concerns, develop treatment goals, and review progress with children and caregivers as appropriate.
- Support children presenting with concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, grief, or family transitions, within your clinical scope.
- Involve caregivers in treatment through intake, check-ins, and guidance as clinically appropriate, with attention to consent and confidentiality.
- Maintain timely clinical documentation in Jane App and participate in case consultation as appropriate.
What you?ll bring
- Current CRPO registration in good standing as a Registered Psychotherapist.
- Formal training in play therapy and direct clinical experience providing psychotherapy to children.
- Experience involving parents or caregivers in a child?s treatment.
- Professional liability insurance and availability to provide in-person sessions at the posted location.
Additional training in child-centred play therapy, attachment-based child therapy, trauma-informed care, or family therapy is an asset. Certified Play Therapist (CPT) certification important. EMDR training is sought for this position also.
