Job Summary
The Fabric Cutter prepares materials for accurate, efficient production by measuring, marking, and cutting to specifications. This hands-on role uses practical tool knowledge and careful attention to detail to support smooth manufacturing and assembly work.
Duties
- Review work instructions, select suitable materials, and measure and mark cutting lines accurately.
- Cut and prepare materials with appropriate hand tools, or power tools, following safe work practices.
- Inspect finished pieces for accuracy, organize materials, and coordinate with colleagues to keep production moving.
- Assist with material handling, assembly, and general shop or warehouse tasks as needed. Your impact: Accurate cuts help colleagues assemble consistent, quality products with less rework.
- Ability to use PAD system to make markers is considered an asset
Skills
Required: Practical measuring, accurate cutting, attention to detail, and safe use of relevant hand tools and power tools are important for this work. Mechanical knowledge supports equipment use and basic troubleshooting. Preferred: Manufacturing, machining, heavy lifting, or assembly can be useful in supporting varied production tasks.
Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
