About this role
We are an Italian sandwich shop that bakes it's bread Schiacciata fresh daily. We are looking for someone to join our team in a part time position as part of the bread crew.
This role involves the dough handling, stretching, proofing and baking to help us create the best Schiacciata bread we can make. Good time management and an ability to work efficiently on your own are a huge plus.
Key Responsibilities
- *Baking Expertise:* Maintain full, up-to-date knowledge of the baking process from start to finish
- *Food Safety: *Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, and other company initiatives
- *Cleanliness: *Keeps work area clean and safe at all times
Requirements & Qualifications
- *Work Ethic & Attitude:* Hard-working, highly energetic, and strictly responsible. Must know how to manage their time and resources effectively.
- *Adaptability:* Willingness to work with other team members to fulfill company demands, and create the best Schiacciata bread possible.
- *Efficiency:* Strong understanding of workflow efficiency with a continuous drive to improve team productivity.
- *Communication:* Strong and proper communication with team members
- *Physical Capability:* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (20 kg) and stay active on your feet during shifts. Ability to work in a warm & hectic environment
- *Certifications:* FoodSafe Level 1 certification is highly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- *Base Wage:* $19 ? $22.00 per hour (Wage increases are strictly performance-based)
- *Gratuities:* Average of $2.00 ? $4.00 per hour in cash tips

Shift Schedule & Location
- *Location:* 1110 Commercial Dr, Vancouver, BC V5L 3X2 (Will change soon)
- Store Hours: 11am to 7pm
- *Shifts:* Shifts may change weekly based on store needs. Open availability is highly preferred, and scheduling is strictly performance-based.
- Standard Shift Blocks:
- Afternoon - 6PM / 8PM / 10PM as needed
