Job summary
We're looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and multi-skilled Receptionist to become a valued member of our busy administration team, supporting Mental Health Services at the Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, Torbay Hospital.

Main duties of the job
Youll be:
The first point of contact for visitors, staff and callers, managing reception duties and handling a wide range of enquiries. Communicating confidently with a diverse range of services and individuals, building strong professional relationships both internally and externally Using a mix of manual and computerised systems, including room booking and patient records
You'll help people feel supported from the moment they arrive by:
Signposting staff and visitors to appointments and informing teams of arrivals Ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally. Maintaining a well stocked, welcoming, accessible and professionally presented environment You'll also ensure that all communication and information handling meets strict patient confidentiality requirements.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Excellent organisational skills. Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change when required. Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team. Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information. Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills. Understanding and respect of confidentiality in the workplace.
Desirable
Previous experience of working in a Healthcare or Social Care administrative setting.
Qualifications Essential
Customer Service/Receptionist qualification to Level 3 or equivalent experience in practice GCSE English or equivalent Evidence of continuing professional and personal development 35 words per minute accurate typing evidenced by test at interview or RSA qualification or equivalent
Desirable
ICDL (International Computer Driving License), or equivalent experience. Qualifications or equivalent experience in Microsoft Office suite
