Start date for the role is 15th February 2027.

Main duties of the job

The Non-Emergency Transport Service (NETS) is the London Ambulance Services transport service which deals with non-immediate life threatening, non-emergency calls, which are received by the LAS. NETS are commissioned to transport lower acuity patients to hospital who, from the information provided at triage or by other LAS staff on scene, do not appear to require any clinical intervention en-route and where transport to a definitive place of care is the main requirement. This reduces the requirement for this type of call for a paramedic resource and enables them to respond to the higher acuity calls. The primary purpose of these vehicles is to provide transport.

NETS staff do possess and have the ability to call on other LAS health professionals should the need arise. NETS crews are currently not trained to drive on blue lights and therefore cannot provide emergency transport. Therefore they will complete all journeys under normal driving conditions.

NETS currently operate between 7am and midnight, seven days a week.

As an Ambulance Person, you will be responsible for transporting non-emergency patients to various health care facilities.

Full time, working hours are 37.5 hours per week.
