Main duties of the job As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work with an inclusive and supportive team to provide care to individuals with neurological conditions. Your responsibilities include conducting ward rounds, analyzing behaviors, adapting care accordingly, updating patient records, and assisting with personal hygiene. The environment can be challenging, requiring a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance. However, it is rewarding to see the improvements in the individuals you care for. The role involves 12.5-hour shifts, 3-4 days a week, including nights and weekends. You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with neurological conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends.

Qualifications Essential
Relevant experience in healthcare or care assistance, a compassionate and positive attitude, resilience, and vigilance.
