We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Highpoint, a category C Prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk. The Primary Care team consists of a team of 15 which include Senior Primary Care Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Non-Medical Prescribers.
Highpoint is spilt into 2 sites, the North Building has around 390 males and the South Building has around 950 males. Both sites have designated Healthcare Departments which you will be based in.
Highpoint Prison offers
Free on-site gym. Free parking. Career Development / Training opportunities . Hours:
Monday - Sunday service 37.5 hours per week. 08:00-17:00 Weekends on a rota 4 week rolling rota Open to discuss lower hours *Please note transport by car is recommended due to location of the prison.
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £43,609 - £49,175 per annum- depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs. Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan. Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries. Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.
