Main duties of the job The role of a Food and Beverage Team Member at Avery Healthcare involves supporting the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. Responsibilities include helping residents choose their meal options, ensuring dining tables are set according to standard operating procedures, maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the front of house, managing the availability of fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger food, and fresh fruit, and being mindful of the residents' dietary requirements. The ideal candidate should demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, show compassion and commitment to delivering culinary services, and preferably have experience working in a similar setting such as a restaurant or hotel. A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial. The job requires a DBS Disclosure check, which Avery Healthcare will cover. Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals.

Other responsibilities will include:

Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining. Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures. Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day. Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options. Being aware of residents dietary requirements.

Qualifications Essential

Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents, experience of working in a similar setting, restaurant or hotel is desirable, basic Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial.
