Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact within a vital Acute Ward? We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our dedicated Acute Respiratory Unit Team and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
This is a fantastic role for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about contributing to our service within the Acute Trust.
We are seeking to appoint a Ward Clerk to support the Acute Respiratory Unit and admit day-case patients for the Pleural Day Case Team.
Maintain essential IT systems, including the patient tracker, patient demographic updates (addresses),"Call Me" system, and daily Consultant allocation processes.
This role is to cover Maternity Leave for 12 months and is 24.5 hours per week and is based at Worcester Royal Hospital.
Main duties of the job
This role will involve receiving general telephone calls, recording messages and dealing with initial enquiries in a friendly professional manner and referring the call to the relevant member of staff, as appropriate.
To maintain real-time updates of the wards Whiteboard, complete Patient Administration System (PAS) Preparation and scanning of documentation. Update and maintain filing systems in the ward to enable timely and accurate information retrieval. Maintain records regarding admission/discharges/ward clinical IT systems.
To maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team.

In depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience working in a busy patient focused environment. Administration experience. Ability to prioritise and organise a changing workload and work systematically towards deadlines.

Experience working in NHS environment. Experience of PAS, Bluespier, and CLIP.
