Job summary
We're looking for a Directorate manager for Gynaecology & Obstetrics speciality.
This post will ensure operational delivery of these services, development of the services and the service is delivered within the budget.
The Directorate Manager will manage a number of specialities within their remit and will work with each of the Clinical Directors and Matrons for the specialties.
Please note interview may include assessment task.
Main duties of the job
Lead on the day to day operational management across the services within the Directorate ensuring delivery against all performance targets. Provide specific line management responsibilities within the Directorate. Participate in the senior manager on call rota.

Community Services
Providing adult community services for St Helens and a wheelchair service in Chorley, South Ribble, and West Lancashire. Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional Services
We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
