At our Bournemouth Telemedicine hub, we are looking for a Telemedical Lead Nurse or Midwife who is passionate about women's health and dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients. As a Lead Nurse or Midwife you will provide abortion and sexual health information, pre-treatment assessment and treatment to clients in a supportive manner.
The post holder will lead, manage and mentor a remote clinical team of nurses and midwives involved in the provision of the telemedical termination service. You will also deputise in the absence of the Treatment Unit Manager.
This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Saturday. This will include two late finishes per month (until 7pm) and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Based at our Bournemouth hub, once trained, this role will involve a mixture of hub and home working. More will be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
To deliver high standards of telemedical care in accordance with NMC Guidelines for Professional Practice, and to promote the safety and well-being of clients at all times.Ensure that the client understands her options in relation to the pregnancy &, if choosing termination, meets the ground of the Abortion Act.To co-ordinate clinicians to meet the needs of the service and contribute to the identification of efficient staffing levels and manage human resources effectively.
To assist the Unit Manager in setting budgets for the Unit and in ensuring that CQC standards are maintained.
To audit client pathways and practitioners to ensure compliance with BPAS policies, and implement/review action plans where required.
About You
You will be a Registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or Midwife (practising) who has experience of working within a clinical environment, where you have supervised or managed other clinical staff. You will have experience of working to guidelines, policies and procedures, and also have experience of completing client documentation.

Salary: £45,584- £51,479 per annum pro rata - depending on skills and experience
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week to be worked over Monday to Saturday. This will include two late finishes a month (7pm) and 1 in 4 Saturdays 08:00-14:00. More will be discussed at interview
Location: BPAS Bournemouth-23-25 Ophir Road, Bournemouth, BH8 8LS - once trained, this role will be a mix of hub and home working.
