Main duties of the job As a Maintenance Assistant at Potters Bar Clinic, you will engage in ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose. Your role will involve utilizing good DIY skills to keep the safety of service users intact, assisting in regular maintenance checks and repairs of all buildings, and contributing to all decorating tasks. You will also liaise with a manager to report any faults and participate in a one-week retaining on-call rota for emergency maintenance. Coordinating and supporting contractors and completing the necessary paperwork and tool checks will also be part of your duties.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will have:
Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose. Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained. Assisting in regular checks and maintenance. Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings. Assisting in all decorating. Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects. Participating in a 1 week retaining on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance. Join the team at Potters Bar Clinic providing care for young people and adults with acute mental health needs and personality disorders in an established 24-hour care environment. The CAMHS Tier 4 Low Secure services are for young people aged 13–18. Potters Bar Clinic is located in a residential area, only one minute drive from the M25 and a short bus ride from Potters Bar Train Station, with a bus stop right outside, making it an easy commute for most.

To be successful in this role, you should comply with systems and procedures, have previous experience in a maintenance role, be able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, show courtesy and respect to residents at all times, and attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
