How would you like to work in IT, toying with cutting edge technologies and enjoying your life? At Orange Services, it’s possible!
As one of the largest IT Hub within Orange Group, we are working internationally for both Orange corporate functions and country operations. Through a unique combination of know-how and expertise, our teams provide a broad range of IT & Business Solutions.
Come closer to #LifeAtOrange!
What we’re looking for
We are looking to expand the Voice Portal team with a highly motivated, innovative and results-oriented Intermediate Developer who will help us keep a fast, reliable voice experience on Orange TV, while also keeping an eye on best practices, clean code and the onboarding of newcomers.
Voice Portal is working on the voice assistant on the Orange set-top box. People talk to the television — find a programme, change channel, control volume or playback, ask for a recommendation — and the platform turns that into an action. It serves several countries, including France and Spain, and the team works in an Agile way with colleagues across countries.
The business services are written in Kotlin with Quarkus. The real-time voice path — sign-in, the live session, speech recognition, the language model and spoken replies — is written in Go with Fiber. The platform runs in Docker and Kubernetes on Google Cloud, with Redis and Firestore behind the services.
If you are willing to know more, we will be happy to invite you to for a chat.

- Build and evolve the Kotlin services (business logic, commands, content search, the content dictionary and analytics) and the Go services (sign-in, live session, speech and language)
- Connect speech recognition, the language model and speech synthesis, and keep each country’s behaviour correct.
- Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure and clean code, on REST APIs and on the live session with the set-top box.
- Join design discussions on new voice features and make sure they fit the platform reliably.
- Take an active part in backlog grooming, sprint planning and implementation.
- Own coding, testing and debugging through the life of a feature, including how it behaves once it is deployed.
