Job Title: WelderJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. This role involves MIG welding hollow metal door frames and window frames, primarily working with 16 gauge cold-rolled steel, and occasionally with 14-18 gauge galvanized steel. The position requires proficiency in using a handheld grinder to grind welds, as well as using band saws and a small pneumatic punch for lock holes. No blueprint experience is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on hollow metal door frames and window frames.
- Weld primarily 16 gauge cold-rolled steel and occasionally 14-18 gauge galvanized steel.
- Use a handheld grinder to grind welds.
- Operate band saws and a small pneumatic punch for lock holes.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication.
- Experience with hand grinders and fitting.
- Mechanically inclined.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Blueprint experience (preferred, not required).
- Experience in door carpentry, welding, or general construction (preferred).

Work EnvironmentWork in a clean, climate-controlled shop with approximately 40 employees. The team includes a majority of tenured staff who appreciate the positive culture. The shift is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lino Lakes, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
