Job Title: Refrigeration Pipefitter / Installer on HVAC and Chiller units1st shift 5:30am 3:00pm, Fri 6 10am $25 - $302nd shift M Th 3pm 1:30am $27 - $32Job DescriptionThis role installs, assembles, and maintains commercial and industrial refrigeration piping systems from layout through commissioning support. You will perform piping layout and fabrication, braze and solder joints, install related components, and prepare systems for pressure and leak testing to support safe and reliable startup. You work independently or as part of an installation team while ensuring all work meets applicable codes, safety requirements, and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration piping systems in accordance with project specifications and codes.
- Perform piping layout and fabrication, including cutting, fitting, and preparing pipe for installation.
- Brazes and solder refrigeration piping and related components using proper techniques and procedures.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams to plan and execute installations.
- Install associated refrigeration components and equipment as part of complete system builds.
- Prepare systems for pressure and leak testing to support commissioning and verify system integrity.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively in a warehouse and shop environment.
- Lift materials and components up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various positions to complete installations.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in pipefitting, refrigeration piping, or HVAC/R installation.
- Proficiency in brazing techniques for refrigeration piping systems.
- Experience installing commercial or industrial refrigeration piping and related components.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
- Ability to install piping systems accurately according to layout and specifications.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- EPA 608 certification preferred.
- Previous trade school or apprenticeship in refrigeration, HVAC/R, or pipefitting preferred.
- Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
