Mechanical Assembler @ Aerotek

Job DescriptionSeeking a Mechanical Assembler for first-shift production assembling solar power boxes and switchboards. This is a hands-on role using prints, hand/power tools, and basic wiring skills. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, with on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble power boxes, panels, and switchboards according to prints.
• Pull, spool, strip, and install wire and components.
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and torque wrenches.
• Read basic prints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Work as part of a small assembly team while meeting quality and production expectations.
• Cross-train between mechanical assembly and wiring areas.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or wiring experience preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and basic prints/diagrams.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Willing to perform repetitive, hands-on assembly work.
• Pneumatic tool or foot pedal crimper experience is a plus.

Schedule & Work Environment

• 1st Shift: Four 10-hour shifts, MondayThursday.
• Friday overtime as needed.
• Typically 4045 hours per week.
• Clean, quiet, non-automated manufacturing environment.
• Non-temperature-controlled facility with fans.
• Steel-toe boots required; safety glasses and gloves provided as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
