Aerotek is hiring General LaborerJob DescriptionThis role involves building and assembling PODs that hold inventory on a robotics floor in a fast-paced, warehouse environment. You will work as part of a team to construct metal workstations and inventory shelving units while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. The position requires frequent heavy lifting, consistent use of hand and power tools, and strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble PODs that hold inventory on the robotics floor according to specifications and production targets.
• Construct and assemble metal workstations and inventory shelving units using appropriate tools and materials.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
• Use hand tools such as hammers, rivet guns, tape measures, and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
• Operate power tools as required to complete assembly and construction tasks in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete a specified number of PODs within defined timeframes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment by following all company policies and safety procedures.
• Follow instructions, production plans, and quality standards to ensure consistent and accurate assembly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks in a loud, fast-paced setting.
• Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or production obstacles to the appropriate personnel.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor, construction, production, or carpentry environments.
• Experience in commercial construction or assembly work.
• Ability to use hand tools such as hammers, rivet guns, tape measures, and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
• Experience working with various types of power tools.
• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Physically capable of repetitive work that includes lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
• Safety-conscious mindset with commitment to following established procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, loud environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
