Machinist @ Aerotek

Job Title: MachinistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist specializing in lathe operations for the 2nd Shift from 3:30pm to 12am. The position involves setting up and operating CNC lathes to achieve precise specifications while reading work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup, material type, quantity, and finish dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to meet desired specifications.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications for machine setup.
• Operate two-axis machine tools proficiently.
• Install and align machine accessories using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Manipulate machine controls to regulate and adjust cutting speeds and feeds.
• Make necessary offsets to maintain print/sketch tolerances.
• Measure dimensions of finished parts using measuring instruments.
• Trim, sand, and drill parts using shop equipment.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in CNC and VTL operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Understanding of G code and lathe setup.
• Experience operating forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with years of experience in CNC Lathe operations.
• Experience with large parts is preferred.
• Aerospace material handling experience is a plus.
• Overhead crane experience is advantageous.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a large manufacturing environment with two facilities in New Berlin. Our company focuses on Metal Forming Solutions, primarily in Aerospace but also Defense, Energy, and Space Systems sectors.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of New Berlin, WI.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $54059.20 - $54059.20/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Vacation Policy: After 120-day probationary period, will receive 40 hours of vacation and 24 hours of personal time until next anniversary date. At anniversary, 80 hours of vacation

2nd shift Premium: $1.50 on all worked/non worked hours

Overtime: Over 8 hours worked

Doubletime: Over 10 hours worked
