Job Title: Packager AMJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Packager AM, where you will be responsible for packaging food products on a production line, boxing them, and stacking onto pallets. The role involves lifting items up to 10lbs above shoulder height and performing overhead lifting in a repetitive manner. You will work in a temperature-controlled environment at 8-10 degrees, with machinery like conveyors consistently running. The position involves rotating roles within a single room, completing paperwork, and conducting quality control during packaging. This is a fast-paced and repetitive role that requires attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Package food products on a production line.
• Box and stack packaged food onto pallets.
• Perform overhead lifting of items weighing 10 lbs.
• Operate in a temperature-controlled environment of 8-10 degrees.
• Rotate positions within the production line.
• Complete paperwork, notes, defects, waste, and quality control during packaging.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Comfortable working with food production processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience in cutting vegetables or similar tasks.

Work EnvironmentWork in a temperature-controlled environment at 8-10 degrees, adhering to a dress code that excludes jewelry, open sleeves, skirts, shorts, nail polish, acrylics, and fake eyelashes. A lab coat (smock) is provided, along with hair and beard nets. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as rubber gloves and an apron are supplied. The shift runs Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with expected availability on Saturdays.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, BC.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.40 - $19.40/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
