Job Title: 1st Shift CNC Machinist
Pay: $38/hour starting out
Shift: 6:00am to 3:00pm
Job DescriptionThe CNC Machinist safely sets up and operates assigned CNC machines to produce precision parts according to drawings, specifications, and the daily production plan. Responsibilities include loading and verifying programs, selecting and installing tooling and workholding, establishing offsets, performing inspections, maintaining records, and escalating concerns promptly.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned production tasks according to work instructions, production travelers, drawings, specifications, and direction of leadership.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and shut down assigned CNC machining equipment in accordance with training, approved programs, and established procedures.
- Select and install approved cutting tools, fixtures, workholding, and raw material for assigned CNC jobs in accordance with setup instructions, drawings, and training.
- Load and verify approved CNC programs; set work and tool offsets; and operate CNC mills, lathes, or other assigned machining equipment within authorized parameters.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using approved precision measuring tools, compare parts to drawings and specifications, and make authorized offset or tooling adjustments.
Essential Skills
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, production travelers, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Basic math, measurement, computer, and recordkeeping skills.
- Previous CNC machining, CNC setup, milling, turning, precision measurement, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mc Kees Rocks, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
