Transport Operations Job Summary
Responsible for supervising daily transport operations, managing team performance, coordinating with truckers and customers, and ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Operations – Monitor daily trips, truck assignments, delivery schedules, and POD submissions.
Team Management – Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance and coaching to team members.
Trucker Management – Coordinate truck availability, monitor trucker performance, and address service issues.
Customer Coordination – Ensure customer requirements are met and promptly resolve operational concerns.
Cost Control – Monitor transportation costs, trucking rates, and operational expenses to maintain profitability.
Compliance – Ensure proper documentation, accurate TMS updates, and compliance with company policies and safety requirements.
Reporting – Prepare operational reports and monitor KPIs, including on-time delivery, fleet availability, and billing compliance.
Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
General Responsibility: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operational targets and overall business objectives. Responsibilities

Supervise daily transport operations and ensure timely delivery of goods. Manage team performance, workload, and task assignments.
Coordinate with truckers to ensure fleet availability and delivery compliance.
Monitor trip status, TMS updates, and POD submissions.
Coordinate with customers and internal departments to resolve operational issues. Monitor transportation costs, trucking rates, and operational expenses.
Prepare operational reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and safety standards. Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of operational deliverables. Escalate critical concerns to management.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements
Requirements
Team Leader
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or any related course. At least 2 years of experience in logistics or transport operations.
With leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of fleet management and transport operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Good communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Willing to work flexible hours as needed.
