At DHL Supply Chain, we are looking for an inspiring General Manager to lead a busy, fast-moving operation across both warehouse and transport. From setting direction and improving performance to supporting customers and identifying new opportunities, you will balance people, service and commercial priorities while helping the operation move forward. This is a highly influential role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, solving challenges and bringing teams together around a clear purpose.
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Providing visible, engaging leadership across warehouse and transport operations, spending time with colleagues and maintaining a strong understanding of the teams you lead.
- Coaching and developing your leadership team, building capability, strengthening succession plans and creating opportunities for people to progress.
- Reviewing operational performance, service levels and key performance indicators, then working with your managers to address challenges and deliver improvements.
- Championing a safety-first culture and ensuring that risks, incidents and improvement actions are understood and managed effectively.
- Balancing resource, productivity and operational requirements to ensure the warehouse and transport operation delivers consistently for its customers.
- Using your commercial awareness to review financial performance, manage costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support sustainable growth.
- Bringing teams together around clear priorities, recognising great performance and creating a culture of continuous improvement, respect and shared accountability.

- Have experience leading through multiple management layers within a large, complex and fast-paced logistics operation.
- Bring strong operational knowledge across warehouse and transport, including closed-loop or similarly integrated logistics operations.
- Can combine a people-first leadership style with sound commercial judgement and a clear focus on service, performance and results.
- Are comfortable setting direction, leading change and giving their managers the trust, coaching and accountability needed to succeed.
- Communicate confidently with colleagues, customers and senior stakeholders, building support and bringing different teams together.
- Want to be a positive ambassador for DHL Supply Chain, demonstrating integrity, respect and a genuine commitment to colleagues, customers and the wider business.
