About this role

Welcome to Allianz

The Information Security function of Allianz Reinsurance (Allianz Re) is a governance function responsible for ensuring that all company information is appropriately protected — whether it is stored, processed, transmitted, or communicated. Operating across all Allianz Re locations, it ensures that information assets are adequately safeguarded in compliance with internal policies as well as external legal and regulatory requirements. The function establishes and oversees the security frameworks, standards, and controls necessary to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information throughout the organisation.

The Information Security Expert is an integral member of this governance function, operating under the leadership of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In this role, the expert contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of information security policies and controls, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders such as IT, risk management, compliance, and business units to identify risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

  • Advise all Allianz Re personnel — including Business Owners, Project Managers, and other stakeholders — on all information security-related matters
  • Maintain expert exchange and close collaboration with other functions such as Legal, IT, Enterprise Architecture, and other digital resilience functions
  • Oversee and conduct information security-related activities across all Allianz Re locations and legal entities

Project Portfolio Management: Supervise Information Security aspects of IT and business projects — including new products and M&A activities — ensure Information Security requirements are considered throughout project life cycles, and maintain the local Information Security project portfolio to address regulatory and business requirements

Independent Control Assurance: Monitor assurance and oversight activities related to services provided by Allianz Technology and third parties, and maintain and monitor local strategic threat intelligence activities

Training & Awareness: Plan and deliver local Information Security awareness campaigns and training initiatives, and adapt and contribute to global awareness and training content
