About this role
Brinsworth Academy’s Art, Design Technology Department is growing therefore we are looking to appoint a technician to join our team. The role will include preparing materials for teaching staff and students including organisation of equipment and tools for lessons, maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe learning environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, has strong practical and organisational skills, and is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. We are looking for:
- Demonstrable experience of delivering excellent communication skills, whilst working in a busy environment.
- Experience of working with young people in an educational, training, youth work or similar setting
- To be able to use ICT e.g. simple word processing.
- Commitment to attend appropriate training and development commensurate with the post.
- Good understanding of health and safety, COSHH and ESCC regulations (training can be provided)
- Technical Knowledge of relevant areas, relevant policies, legislation requirements is desirable.
