Main Responsibilities: As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include: Assisting with patient duties as required and support other team members such as clinical and Nurse Lead with patient care. Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance is maintained. You will be working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes etc. So must have experience in Phlebotomy. Provide clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and simple wound care. Completing administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, providing appropriate leaflets, stock control and ordering. Obtaining blood samples of the appropriate quality, taken with minimal stress to patients, which will help with patients diagnosis and treatment. Accurately labelling samples and preparing them for collection to the pathology department for analysis.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, supporting CQC outcome-related duties, conducting clinical procedures such as BMI and blood pressure checks, and completing administrative tasks. You'll work closely with patients with long-term conditions, ensuring quality blood samples are taken with minimal stress to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Experience in phlebotomy and in a primary care setting is essential, along with a completed recognized phlebotomist training course. Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy. Completed recognised phlebotomist training course. Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security. Must be able to adapt with changing priorities and be personable, polite and patient with our patients. Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email. Ability to use own judgement and be aware of professional boundaries they are working to An understanding of infection control and sterilization practices. Taking blood is a special skill, which requires patience and the ability to engage with both adults and children. You need to have a calm approach and to have had experience in a clinical environment and be able to care for people if distressed. Package Description: How well support you:

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy. Completion of a recognized phlebotomist training course. Basic PC skills, including Word and Excel. Understanding of infection control and sterilization practices. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work within processes.
