Job summary
Blandford Hospital catering team run a busy kitchen and have a key role in providing nutritional meals to 24 patients.
Monday - Friday 20hrs week
08.00- 12pm (middle and late shifts to support annual leave ) as and when required
Our dining room also caters for staff, visitors and local community.

Main duties of the job
A catering assistant will be responsible for the preparation of salads, sandwiches and vegetables.
Counter service, serving meals drinks and snacks.
Assist in the plating of patient meals.
Washing up and other general kitchen duties
Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the catering department.

Person Specification
Knowledge,Skills & Training Essential
Level 2 certificate in food hygiene or working towards Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Good communication skills
Finance & Resources Essential
Knowledge of Stock Control procedures and methods
Additional requirements Essential
Demonstrate skills in written and spoken English to a standard which enables the post holder to carry out the full range of duties and responsibilities of the role effectively
