Salary: £35,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Relevant cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development
- Experience building and operating large-scale systems
- Solid understanding of systems operations, including disks, networks, and operating systems
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively in teams
- Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, or another statically typed language
- Experience or knowledge with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with Golang is advantageous
- Experience using Apache Kafka is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Golang infrastructure services, typically implemented as Kubernetes operators, to provide Confluent Cloud foundations for the wider engineering organization
- Work with other Confluent engineers to build our PaaS product
- Help ensure the availability, performance, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of Confluent Cloud
- Contribute to the architecture and operational design of the product, with a focus on running large-scale data systems smoothly and securely
