Requirements
- A portfolio of real, live websites you have shipped, including at least some built with AI coding tools
- Some understanding of HTML and CSS, plus enough JavaScript and Python to read, fix, and adapt generated code
- Hands-on experience with DNS and domains
- Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work
- Ability to work from a brief without needing every page specified
- Nice to have: experience with local business, trade, or lead-generation websites
- Nice to have: conversion rate optimisation, landing pages, or Google Ads tracking experience
- Nice to have: knowledge of local SEO basics, including schema, sitemaps, and Search Console
- Nice to have: experience with Lovable, Supabase, or similar tools
Responsibilities
- Build client websites end to end using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, our generators, templates, and design standards
- Gather clients existing websites, photos, reviews, and details, then turn them into 40–150-page websites designed to rank and convert
- Run our automated SEO, copy, broken-link, and tracking checks until each site passes
- Preview and publish websites, managing Netlify, DNS, domains, SSL, and redirects from old sites
- Set up lead routes, including quote forms, call-tracking numbers, and Google Ads conversion tags
- Make updates and fixes to live client websites on the same day
- Improve our build checklist and AI instructions each week
- Work toward launching 3–5 client sites per week by month three, with each site live within two weeks of signing and no sites published with broken forms, missing tracking, or failed checks

We are Hammer Down Media, a growing agency that builds websites, runs Google and Meta ads, and provides lead systems for UK trade businesses, including roofers, driveway companies, and home-improvement businesses. Our clients are on monthly retainers, and we measure success by leads. We are scaling toward 100 new clients a month and build with Claude, Codex, and our in-house tools. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, with flexible hours around delivery. You will report to our Marketing Director. The salary is £38,000–£45,000 per year, plus a delivery bonus of up to £6,000. We provide paid AI tools and offer a progression route to Head of Web Delivery and then Head of Product. Shortlisted candidates complete a paid, two-day build test on a real brief.
