Requirements
- At least 3 years experience within an MSP or multi-tenant Microsoft 365 environment
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 migration and security projects
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams
- Experience using migration tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool, Migration Manager or ShareGate
- PowerShell and Microsoft Graph administration experience
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable: experience with Microsoft Purview
- Desirable: macOS support experience
- Desirable: Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, MD-102 or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Deliver Microsoft 365 security and tenant-hardening projects
- Configure and manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSPR and Intune
- Deploy Microsoft Defender solutions and compliance controls
- Lead migrations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive
- Design SharePoint structures, permissions and governance policies
- Configure and support Microsoft Teams environments
- Produce technical documentation and client handover materials
- Support project delivery through testing, change management and user adoption
- Provide occasional second-line support and technical escalation assistance
- Build strong client relationships through professional service delivery
- Deliver projects from initial discovery through implementation, documentation and client handover

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing IT services provider for a hands-on, client-facing M365 Project Engineer to join its technical team and deliver security, migration and modern workplace solutions for SME customers. This is a full-time, permanent, field-based role covering Hertfordshire, Essex and North East London, with a salary of £38,000–£42,000 depending on experience. Around 80% of the role is spent at customer sites, with the remainder working from home.
