Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year
Requirements
- Experience in software analysis, design and development
- Strong C#, MVC, .NET Framework and T-SQL skills
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, domain-driven design (DDD) and test-driven development (TDD)
- Experience with test automation, unit testing, mocking and refactoring
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React
- Experience using object-relational mapping (ORM) tools, such as Entity Framework
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience using agentic AI development environments, such as Cline, Copilot or Gemini
- Experience estimating development effort using different approaches
- Experience coaching, mentoring or teaching others
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and a commitment to quality
- Evidence of learning new subjects or skills, with a proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement
- Ability to embrace change and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-quality, innovative software solutions that support our mission to improve health worldwide
- Engage with customers, stakeholders and technical colleagues to explore requirements, challenge assumptions and shape solutions that meet user needs
- Lead technical discussions, develop production code using Agile methodologies, and oversee code reviews and technical risk assessments
- Explore emerging technologies, promote best practices and use agentic AI to enhance development efficiency
- Help embed sustainable development practices to minimise environmental impact
- Define specifications and appropriate acceptance criteria
- Guide and coach colleagues through collaborative development
- Contribute to project planning and effort estimation
- Research new approaches and share findings with the team
- Help improve Agile processes and team efficiency
- Take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of team outputs

We are hiring a Senior Software Developer in Exeter, Devon, on a permanent, full-time hybrid basis for 37.5 hours per week.
