Requirements

Responsibilities
- Implement and improve Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory controls, ensuring access is secure, supportable, and aligned with business and security requirements.
- Support delivery and implementation of SSO, MFA, and Conditional Access changes for prioritised applications and user groups.
- Design and implement RBAC, privileged access, and identity governance controls.
- Improve Joiner, Mover, and Leaver lifecycle processes, including automation where appropriate.
- Onboard prioritised SaaS applications using federation and automated provisioning, including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Develop PowerShell automation, technical documentation, and operational handover materials.
- Support key stakeholders by providing specialist identity and access management engineering expertise to accelerate Cyber Workstreams.

We are recruiting an IAM Engineer on an initial 3–6 month contract for a client described as a leader in energy management. The role is based in Manchester, with two days a week on site. The rate is dependent on experience, and the posting lists differing IR35 statuses: Outside IR35 in the opening details and Inside IR35 later in the advert.
