Requirements
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and demonstrable coding experience or personal projects; previous commercial experience is not essential.
- A strong interest in AI, emerging technologies, and digital innovation.
- Coding or scripting experience gained through education, personal projects, or employment.
- An interest in IT support and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and a helpful, approachable manner.
- A willingness to take initiative and develop new technical skills.
- A degree or qualification in Computer Science, IT, Software Development, or a related subject would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Knowledge of Next.js, Python, JavaScript, AI tools, Microsoft 365, automation, or software development would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and general technical issues.
- Assist with setting up and configuring computers, laptops, user accounts, and applications.
- Support colleagues with IT queries and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Explore and implement opportunities to use AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Assist with coding, scripting, and developing digital solutions.
- Research emerging AI technologies, tools, and applications that could benefit our business.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes.
- Assist with testing, maintaining, and documenting IT systems and solutions.
- Support general IT administration and help maintain good IT security practices.
- Maintain our company website using Next.js.
- Support the transition of data from the historical company to the new provider.
