About this role
Salary: £33,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements
- Early in your career, ideally with 1–3 years of experience in conversion optimisation, digital or product analysis, or UX, in an agency or in-house; exceptional graduates who can demonstrate the same instincts will be considered.
- Strong analytical instincts, including understanding hypotheses, sample size and statistical significance, and distinguishing a real lift from coincidence.
- Comfortable with Google Analytics (GA4), PostHog and Excel. Experience with A/B testing tools such as Webtrends Optimize, VWO or Optimizely is a plus; SQL, Looker Studio or Power BI is also a plus.
- A good eye for design, UI and UX; able to sketch or wireframe ideas using Figma or similar, write clear and persuasive copy, and demonstrate a working understanding of how web pages are built.
- Methodical about QA and UAT, able to write test cases, check across devices and browsers, and identify problems before customers do.
- Able to turn ideas into clear specifications or user stories and work effectively with developers and designers.
- Strong critical thinking, work ethic and drive to improve results.
- Intellectually honest, low ego and quick to update views based on evidence; motivated to find out what is true rather than to be right.
- Clear communicator, able to explain results and recommendations simply to senior colleagues.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in work or studies.
- Experience in lead generation, marketplaces, e-commerce or consumer services is a plus.
- Able to work in person five days a week at our London office; able to reliably commute to or relocate to London EC2A 1NT before starting.
- United Kingdom work authorisation is required.
- Applicants should submit a CV and a note of no more than one page covering an A/B test or experiment they designed or analysed, a conversion improvement they drove, an instance when testing or QA caught a problem before it reached customers, and an example of how they use AI.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously manage the conversion testing backlog across our sites, identifying opportunities from analytics, funnel data, session recordings and customer feedback; form hypotheses and prioritise tests by expected commercial impact and effort.
- Document each tests hypothesis, key metrics and expected outcomes; run tests using Webtrends Optimize and our internal A/B testing platform, manage sample size and duration, analyse results, record learnings and roll successful tests out across our brands. Work towards at least two concluded tests per month.
- Propose and shape changes to page layouts, forms, copy and user journeys to increase lead submissions and on-page instructions; produce wireframes and specifications, write acceptance criteria, and work with developers and designers to deliver approved changes.
- Own the self-serve journey from lead form through booking and payment, identify friction, test improvements and measure their impact.
- Write test plans and conduct QA and UAT across devices and browsers, checking form behaviour, tracking, events and visual design; sign off releases, monitor post-launch performance, and raise and follow up defects with the delivery team.
- Regularly report conversion performance, test outcomes and revenue impact to the Chief Product Officer and wider leadership, and feed customer learnings into the product roadmap.
- Use AI tools to support data analysis, draft hypotheses and variants, write test plans and QA scripts, and automate repetitive reporting tasks.
- In the first three months, learn our sites, funnels, lead economics and testing tools; agree baseline conversion measures with the Chief Product Officer by the end of month one; establish a prioritised testing backlog and QA/UAT process; have at least two tests live and read out by month three; ship and measure a first winning change; and provide a regular conversion report for product and leadership decisions.
