About this role

Job summary

The post holder will undertake duties to ensure the upkeep of a clean and hygienic environment within the hospital ward, inclusive of inpatient and non-patient environments under the direction of the domestic services supervisor.

They will follow departmental procedures and provide a responsive cleaning and decontamination service for patient and non-patient area throughout the healthcare premises.

The post holder will work across traditional staff group boundaries to provide an effective and timely service and maintain a safe and pleasant environment.

Main duties of the job

20hours 15.45pm-20.00pm

Provision of high standards of cleanness of clinical and non clinical areas of the Princess of Wales site.

This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. Skills Desirable

Welsh language skills in Speaking/Listening at Level 3 or above

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge of COSHH General education including literacy and numeracy

An understanding of the importance of health and safety

Experience in a similar role or industry
