Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant at Elysium Healthcare, you will become a part of a team focused on providing valuable care to patients with mental health conditions at Farmfield Hospital in Surrey. The role involves supporting individuals towards recovery, conducting ward rounds, analyzing their behaviors, updating patient records, and offering comprehensive care. The position requires a compassionate, resilient, and positive approach given the sometimes challenging environment. The work schedule includes shifts of 12.5 hours a day for 3-4 days a week, including nights and weekends. You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with of Mental Health conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends.

Location: Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BN
You will be working at Farmfield Hospital, located next to Gatwick.
You’ll be caring for adult men 18+ who potentially have a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and challenging behaviours.
