- We are looking forward to hire Ignition SCADA Professionals in the following areas : Job Description: Senior Ignition Designer / SCADA Developer (8+ Years Experience) Position: Senior Ignition Designer / SCADA Developer Experience: 8+ Years Location: Bangalore/Chennai Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Ignition Designer / SCADA Developer to support and enhance an existing Ignition-based industrial automation platform used across multiple manufacturing facilities.
- The platform was originally developed by an external partner and is currently supporting several production sites, with a larger production-line supervision and monitoring initiative planned for the coming year.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Inductive Automation Ignition, industrial automation systems, SCADA/HMI development, and integration with shop-floor equipment and enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications built using the Ignition Platform (Perspective/Vision, Designer, Gateway) . Support existing shop-floor applications, production dashboards, reporting solutions, and supervision systems.
- Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA screens, workflows, alarms, notifications, and data visualization components.
- Implement enhancements and change requests for existing facilities while ensuring system stability and performance.
- Integrate Ignition with PLCs, industrial devices, historians, MES, databases, and enterprise applications.
- Develop scripts and business logic using Python/Jython within the Ignition framework.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely resolution.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, operations teams, technical leads, and global stakeholders.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the roadmap for the upcoming large-scale supervision-system project.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and support procedures.
- Mentor junior developers and help establish sustainable internal capability for Ignition development and support.
- Required Experience & Skills 8+ years of experience in industrial application development, SCADA, HMI, or manufacturing systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Ignition Platform development and configuration.
- Proficiency in Python/Jython scripting . Experience working with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with MES, Historian, IIoT, or Industry 4.0 solutions.
- Exposure to production-line monitoring and supervision systems.
- Ignition certification(s) from Inductive Automation.
- Experience working in global delivery and support models.
- Knowledge of ISA-95, ISA-88, or industrial automation standards.
- Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills.
