About this role
Due to an exciting internal promotion, we're looking for a Graduate / Junior Project Engineer to join our Engineering team at Stone & Wood Brewery in Murwillumbah ! Reporting to our Engineering Leader, this is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience delivering engineering projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, get involved in a variety of projects and see your ideas come to life on the brewery floor!
Start Date: We're ideally looking for someone who can start ASAP, but we're flexible for a mid-January 2027 start for the right candidate.
- What you'll be doing Supporting engineering and capital projects from planning through to installation and commissioning.
- Working closely with our Brewing, Packaging, Quality and Engineering teams to deliver practical solutions.
- Assisting with project planning, budgeting and coordinating contractors and suppliers.
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, plant performance and efficiency.
- Getting hands-on exposure to brewery equipment, production processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Learning from experienced engineers and collaborating with our wider Group Engineering team.
- What we're looking for You don't need years of experience!
- We're more interested in finding someone who's curious, proactive and eager to learn.
- Ideally, you'll bring: A completed or near-completed degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing, engineering projects and problem-solving.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved on site.
- Good communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Previous experience through internships, university projects or manufacturing placements would be great, but isn't essential.
