Job summary Time to move your career forward by joining the team at Gregory House as Operational Deputy Manager and help people with a learning disability and/or autism to build a brighter future. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will provide support to people who may be living with severe Learning Disabilities, Autism and behaviours that challenge. The service users may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical health problems. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the clinical management of Gregory house including leadership and development of all departments. You will be maximising the financial performance of Gregory House, be an active member of Operational Clinical Governance and deputise for the Registered Manager. With experience from within the care sector as a senior employee, you will assist with the strategic development of the care home, which will see you abide by and work towards Elysiums objectives and business plans. What you will be doing: Support the day-to-day operational management of the service Lead, motivate, and develop staff to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care Ensure compliance with company policies and CQC standards Deputise for the Registered Manager when required Support financial performance, including budget oversight Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement Build strong relationships with families, stakeholders, and external agencies Support recruitment, retention, and staff development Contribute to audits, governance processes, and service improvement plans Maintain effective health and safety oversight
Main duties of the job As an Operational Deputy Manager at Gregory House, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. Your main responsibilities include providing clinical management, supporting the Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with policies and CQC standards, and maximizing financial performance. You will lead and motivate staff, promote a positive culture, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Your role also involves supporting recruitment, retention, and staff development, as well as contributing to audits and governance processes. You must have a minimum Level 3 qualification and experience in health and social care, ideally with individuals with LD/Autism.

You will be working at Gregory House, a Learning Disability and Autism service, providing care and support to 22 adults who have a Learning Disability and/or Mental Health needs. You will work alongside the team helping to provide a specialist provision. The service has an enhanced level of support to allow people with continuing challenging behaviour and high support needs to be cared for in the least restrictive setting possible, but within a service which is robust and structured enough to meet their ongoing needs and risks.

Qualifications Essential
Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, Level 5 Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards), experience in health and social care, ideally supporting individuals with LD/Autism.
