The Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) are funded by NHS England with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in Cheshire Schools.
This role will involve remote / hybrid working, however, there will be a requirement to work from a CWP base on certain days and visit schools across the district.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a compassionate Clinical Coordinator dedicated to improving the mental health of children and young people. The post-holder will play a key role in Cheshire MHST, providing clinical leadership and coordinating service delivery alongside Clinical and Operational Leads.The successful candidate will have substantial experience working with children, young people, parents/carers and families, strong multi-agency working skills, sound knowledge of relevant policy and legislation and excellent communication abilities.Core duties include:o Leading day-to-day clinical practice to ensure safe, effective, evidence-based deliveryo Overseeing clinical governance, including risk management, safeguarding, incidents and quality assuranceo Supporting complex cases and risk escalationso Providing clinical, case management and reflective supervision to EMHPs, CWPs and traineeso Managing triage, allocation and caseload flow for timely interventionso Acting as the key clinical link for schools, 0-18 CYPMHS, safeguarding teams and local partnerso Supporting schools with MHST pathways, referrals and intervention options and strengthening collaborationo Contributing to service improvement, audits and evaluationo Using data and feedback to improve access, outcomes and experienceo Supporting innovation in digital delivery and screening
o Providing specialist assessments, formulations and professional consultation to schools and agencies

Regulated with one of the following regulatory bodies: HCPC Professions and protected titles | (hcpc-uk.org) Registered Nurse (NMC Part One) The Nursing & Midwifery Council - The Nursing and Midwifery Council (nmc.org.uk) Social work England Home - Social Work England Association of Child Psychotherapists Register of Child Psychotherapists | Association of Child Psychotherapists (childpsychotherapy.org.uk) Degree level or equivalent qualification in health or social care related subject (Past Nursing diploma also accepted) N.B. Social workers registered with Scottish or Welsh regulatory bodies would be expected to register with the English regulatory body upon acceptance. Practicing at masters level or equivalent as evidenced by qualifications, post graduate studies and relevant experience. Nationally recognised post-qualification, continuous professional development (CPD) related to the core profession Leadership qualification or equivalent experience.
