Summary of Job Duties

The Room Service Ambassador is responsible for assisting patients with menu selections and ensuring that patients receive meals and nourishment in accordance with physician-prescribed diets, food allergies, and preferences. The Room Service Ambassador provides excellent customer service to ensure the department’s goals are met.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED required.
Basic keyboard skills and telephone etiquette skills.
Experience in a food service, customer service, or patient care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide an excellent customer service experience when the patients are making menu selections.
Takes food orders over the phone.
Make selections in the electronic meal selection system and update and record patient information.
Correct menu choices based on meal patterns, allergies, and patient preferences.
Troubleshoot issues at the point of service affecting patient satisfaction with the food service.
Performs other duties as assigned.
