Job Summary
The Sr. Design Engineer is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of plant buildings and machinery. This role ensures that engineering solutions meet operational, safety, and environmental standards while supporting continuous improvement in plant infrastructure and equipment.
This job profile is intended for experienced professionals who apply practical knowledge of a job area and work independently with general supervision. Main accountabilities and tasks (include KPIs and ESH requirements, if available)
- Create, maintain, and update intelligent 3D plant models using CADWorx Plant Professional and AVEVA E3D
- Review project specifications, P&IDs, layouts, and customer requirements to develop engineering solutions that meet project objectives.
- Support the Project Lead in developing conceptual layouts and plant arrangements for skid-mounted process systems.
- Execute complete 3D modeling and detailed engineering activities, including the preparation of fabrication, construction, and installation deliverables.
- Develop piping layouts, equipment models, pipe support models, and associated design documentation.
- Generate engineering deliverables such as General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping isometrics, nozzle orientation drawings, material take-offs (MTOs).
- Participate in model reviews, clash detection, design optimization and Multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Interpret piping stress analysis report and implement support requirements in coordination with Stress and Support Engineers.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and project-specific requirements, including ASME, ANSI, API, and other relevant international standards.
- Collaborate effectively with Process, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines to ensure integrated engineering solutions.
- Support customer reviews and incorporate comments and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain adherence to company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements and engineering best practices.
- Deliver assigned engineering activities within agreed schedules, quality requirements, and allocated project budgets.
- Work on global engineering projects across multiple regions, including the Middle East, Americas, Europe, and China.
