School of Applied Science - Research Assistant (Food and Agrotech)
[What you will be working on]
- Conduct plant cultivation trials to access plant growth performance
- Carry out extraction and bioactivity assays on plant samples
- Collect, analyse, interpret, and present research data
- Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Support procurement activities, including sourcing materials, liaising with vendors, and raising purchase requests.
- Work closely with project leaders and team members to achieve project deliverables.
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant qualifications in Food Science, Biological Sciences, Agricultural Science, Agrotechnology or related disciplines.
- Familiarity with plant cultivation, growth trials, and chemical laboratory analysis.
- Knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of research findings.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT applications.
- Self-motivated, meticulous, and willing to learn.
- Successful candidate will be employed on a contract basis.
