About this role
Servco is looking for a Tax Manager who is experienced in corporate taxation and can support the Servco tax team in multiple areas as our business continues to grow in both size and complexity. This is the perfect role for a tax professional who can take initiative, likes to think outside the box, and has the desire to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare key components of our global income tax provision for our annual financial statements and periodic tax forecasts for management reporting purposes
- Partner with tax and finance team members on our U.S. Federal and state income tax returns and other tax compliance efforts
- Continuously monitor tax developments that may impact the company, and ensure that key tax positions are thoroughly researched, properly applied, and well documented
- Provide sound tax guidance to internal business partners who consult with the tax department on day-to-day transactions as well as larger business initiatives
- Coordinate with our external tax providers on international tax reporting efforts and perform critical review over deliverables
- Contribute to cross-functional projects to ensure that tax department requirements are met
- Identify and execute on both process improvement and tax savings opportunities that are accretive in value to the company
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field of study
- Minimum of five years of work experience at a leading accounting firm serving larger corporate clients (Big 4 or mid-tier firm experience is a plus) and/or an in-house tax department at a mid- to large-sized company
- Experience with U.S. corporate and partnership income taxation, including an understanding of core tax technical principles (e.g. income and expense recognition, state tax concepts, international tax concepts)
- Prior experience with OneSource tax software is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
